This may occur if you reformatted your Verbatim InSight drive to support Apple's Time Machine feature. At this time your drive may have been automatically formatted using the GUID Partition Table (GPT) option, which is not supported by InSight's display feature. To fix the screen all you need to do is simply reformat the drive. REMEMBER TO SAVE ALL YOUR DATA FIRST TO ANOTHER LOCATION AS FORMATTING WILL ERASE DATA.
Steps to reformat your drive:
1. Locate your Mac Disk Utility. A short cut to access your disc utility is (Shift, Command, U). If you have, multiple hard drives attached to your Mac make sure to select the Verbatim drive from the list of drives down the left of the screen.
2. Select the Partition tab
3. Select a Volume Scheme of 1 Partition.
4. Click on the options button directly below the Volume Scheme. In this area, you need to select Apple Partition Map. Click OK.
5. Select a format of Mac OS Extended (Journaled). At this time, you can also rename your drive in the name field located above.
6. Select Apply to reformat your drive. A Partition Disk screen will appear confirming that you want to partition your drive. Select Partition.
7. Your InSight hard drives Always On LCD screen should be fully functional.
