Verbatim adding 3D Printing Filaments to their growing product range

Verbatim, the global leader in data storage technology including portable hard drives, USB flash drives, CDs, Blu-ray discs and memory cards, is pleased to announce that they will enter the 3D printing market with a range of ABS, PLA and soon to be announced other filament solutions.

Charlotte, NC, January 12, 2015 – Verbatim, the global leader in data storage technology including portable hard drives, USB flash drives, CDs, Blu-ray discs and memory cards, is pleased to announce that they will enter the 3D printing market with a range of ABS, PLA and soon to be announced other filament solutions.

Verbatim 3D Printing Filaments are manufactured in Japan from the highest quality materials and produced to extremely tight tolerances to ensure consistent feeding and stable printing. Distributed in vacuum-sealed bags with desiccant, the filaments are wound on a custom spool, designed for strength, balance and to unsure uniform performance and trouble-free dispensing.

“The 3D printing industry has experienced exponential growth in recent years providing usage opportunities in a range of markets,” said Ron Hanafin, Verbatim’s Product Manager, Peripherals and Accessories. “Verbatim, in research and development partnership with our parent company, Mitsubishi Chemical, is uniquely positioned to expand our product portfolio into the 3D printing industry, and bring our customers innovative solutions that will enhance their 3D printing experience.”

Verbatim will offer 1kg spools of both PLA and ABS filaments in 1.75mm and 3mm diameters, with a variety of color options. Verbatim 3D Printing Filaments will be available February 2015.
